Hong Kong Private Tours

Fitting in a tour between business meetings.

Firstly, what a great image, unfortunately it is a composite as the very tall building on the right is IFC 2 and is 88 Floors high, there is no building behind it that is taller! lovely image though.

In Hong Kong on business? then why not take a private walking tour between meetings, I have met many business people who have been to Hong Kong multiple times and have never taken a tour, they simply flit between the Hotel and the Office and back to the Hotel... Hong Kong has so much to offer!

Contact me today and book a 4 or 5 hour tour and see the best that Hong Kong has to offer

Mandy and Apple, owners of Hong Kong Getaway

Meet Mandy and Apple, two young ladies who provide absolutely awesome private tours in Hong Kong, we are great friends and I am constantly in awe of their talents and they richly deserve every accolade that comes their way, they are simply brilliant.

They are Native Hong Kongers, speak perfect English and both used to work for Cathay Pacific and they were simply born to be private tour guides.

Awesome vintage Rolls Royce

Nice, very nice - this is one of the finest examples of a vintage Rolls Royce I have ever seen in Hong Kong and the owner has spent an awful lot of money to keep it in tip top condition and clearly it is a labour of love.

Spectacular and 2992 is a very lucky number plate as well.

The Peak, that view...............

Meet the McGaws from the USA, from left to right - RJ, John, Kim and Claire enjoying the amazing views at my spot at the Peak. Visiting the Peak is one of the highlights of my private tours of Hong Kong.... thanks guys, it was lovely meeting you and what nice weather we had....

The old Central Market, Central District, Hong Kong Island

Red tape is red tape all over the world and frankly I am embarrassed that this quite awful building is still derelict 14 years after it closed.. it is a grade 1 eyesore and I cannot believe that our Government allows this blight on the landscape to remain standing, it does because of inter department bickering within the Government, there is simply no excuse for their inaction but the morons in charge of the project are simply not accountable to anyone.

Do something already.

The art of shining shoes

Sometimes when you are mooching around the Central Business District you come across a sight that makes you look twice - this is one of them.

A small group of male / female shoe shiners who do a roaring trade and when I used to wear posh shoes I used to use them!! amazing sight in this day and age.

The Star Ferry

Iconic is not an adequate word to describe the Star Ferry, it is simply something that you have to do when you visit Hong Kong... you go from the Hong Kong Business District to TST District across the harbour in Kowloon or vice versa.

Personally I always travel on the lower deck of the Star Ferry (the ferry fare is so low as to be irrelevant) because of the crusty sailors, the smell of diesel oil, the lovely breeze and so much better to take those awesome photographs.

Just do it.

Kowloon Motor Bus or KMB

I generally travel on a bus once or twice a day, we simply have the best public transport system in the world and buses play a major role in Hong Kong.

KMB is our oldest bus company and they have recently introduced their new buses which are a very iconic red colour and this is my first sighting of one of the new buses... I am not a bus spotter (although many Hong Kongers are) my thing is cars! but I do appreciate these new buses, I remember in the mid 1990's most of our buses in Hong Kong had no air conditioning!!

The awesome Honda NSX

This is some car, however as a rule I do not like Japanese cars, they are very bland and utterly reliable but they lack greatness and yet somehow Honda have come out with this truly stunning sports car which has got me very excited... now I can claim to love 2 Japanese cars, the Honda NSX and the Nissan GTR / Skyline.

The Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple

One of the greatest places in Hong Kong to get a feel of what makes Hong Kong tick which is why I spend a lot of time there, the Temple and the surrounding area are just full of interesting stories.

Every visitor who comes to Hong Kong should visit and on my tours it is a must!

Oh my golly gosh, the simply amazing Pagani Hypercar, hand made in Italy
